'Local Heroes' is an interactive performance designed for Key Stage 2. It has been created specifically for the children of Bromley to help them discover some of the amazing past and present residents of the Borough, the places they are connected with, and how their legacies can inspire us today.


'Local Heroes' comes with follow up materials for schools to encourage further learning; and a dynamic Heritage Challenge to help families engage with and enjoy the Borough's heritage together.

  'Local Heroes' will:

Help your school meet;

  • outcomes of the new Ofsted Inspection Framework for Quality of Education and Personal Development

  • SMSC development goals

  • KS2 National Curriculum History requirements


Encourage pupils to examine how the past shapes our present and future


Engage pupils with their local community and inspire them to visit local heritage sites


Stimulate pupils to think about their own aspirations

Support Classroom learning on History, Science, Literacy, Citizenship, Black History


Provide an opportunity to experience live, interactive performance


Give teachers extensive follow up materials based on

the show
